How do I get to the events?

Are the sites accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Yes, all our sites are stroller- and wheelchair-friendly.
Where are the nearest restrooms?
The GreatChristmas Market (Quartier des Spectacles): Restrooms are located in the lower level of Complexe Desjardins. The Christmas Village (Atwater Market): Sanitary facilities are available at the Atwater Market.

Are there places to sit or warm up?
The Great Christmas Market : The Orangery (a large heated tent with bar and lounge atmosphere), outdoor terrace, fire pits, and public seating
Montreal Christmas Village : Fully outdoor with picnic tables and fire pits
Are you open on December 24 and 25?
The Great Christmas Market : Open December 24 & 25 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Montreal Christmas Village : Closed on December 24 & 25 All events are closed on January 1st
Are pets allowed?
At The Great Christmas Market (Quartier des spectacles), pets are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash.
At the Montreal Christmas Village (Atwater Market), they are also allowed in the outdoor event area, but are not permitted inside the Atwater Market building, in accordance with MAPAQ regulations.
Assistance dogs are allowed on all sites.
Exhibitors, Events & Activities
Can I exhibit at both markets?
We prioritize diversity among vendors to offer a unique experience at each market. That said, participating in multiple events is possible if your products stand out and appeal to the public.
How many people attend your events?
From the most recent edition: The Christmas Village 80,000 visits over 12 days. The Great Christmas Market 748,000 visits. For 2025, we are targeting a combined total of 900,000 visits.
Great Christmas Market: Santa Claus parade (Saturday, Nov. 22 on René-Lévesque Blvd.), the signature “Noël à Montréal” show, Saturday evening concerts (Apéros givrés), gospel performances, and family-friendly entertainment.
Christmas Village: Santa present every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (free photos), the new show Le Secret des Lutins, Bal des Lutins, Montréal Raclette Party (two-day event), and Grand Festin des Lutins
Can I buy a Christmas tree on-site?
Yes. You can purchase your tree online and pick it up at the Great Christmas Market, or have it delivered to your home via our partner Téo Taxi. Trees are also sold directly at Atwater Market.
What food options are available?
A wide variety of gourmet chalets and food kiosks await you on both sites:
Raclette, fondue, churros, vegan tacos, poutine, waffles, hot chocolate, mulled wine and cider, and much more.

Ticketing and pricing
Do I need to pay to attend the events?
All our events are free and open to everyone. However, optional packages (seasonal or daily) are available for advance booking and offer exclusive perks on-site and with our partners.
Do you offer a discount if I bring my own cup?
Yes. Bring your reusable cup and get 10% off your drinks.
